I can hardly remember a time in my life when I wasn’t grappling with depression. I’ve come a long way (therapy is great) but it’s a constant process to learn how to be kinder to myself. I’ve become aware of my self-talk and do my best not to let my internal voice debase me quite so often.
It’s also amazing, how years into working with therapists, there are still little things I do that are actually more harmful than helpful. Three years into making this journey with professional help after more than a decade of meandering through it on my own, I’m still making discoveries.
